For those who do a lot of entertaining and have a little extra space in a home, transforming a portion of it ? a basement, unused formal dining room, or spare living room ? into a bar or entertainment area is a good idea. 1. Bar Sink

A bar sink is worth considering when it comes to building a home bar, either built into the prep station behind the bar or directly into the bar itself. Why? If bar is built in an odd space ? like a basement or even a garage ? one might not have an existing sink, which means having to leave the room to rinse fruit, wash glasses, or even to do a decent job of mopping down the bar.

2. Wine Cooler / Wine Cellar

A built in wine cooler can be an excellent addition to a home bar, especially for those who have more than a few bottles of wine on hand at a time. Ranging in size from smaller-than-a-mini-fridge to the size of a full refrigerator, wine coolers are great for keeping wine in a climate controlled environment to mature ? and at the ideal serving temperature. Larger models can hold upwards of 200 bottles in a motion-dampened, UV-proof, climate controlled space, and are an excellent alternative to full sized wine cellars. Smaller models do the same job for a dozen bottles or fewer, which is good for a more casual wine drinker. For someone with a medium sized, mixed selection, something like the Dual Zone wine cooler from Marvel that houses white and red wines in separate temperatures would be a good choice.

3. Kegerator

Entirely self contained, kegerators are essentially mini fridges (many of them can actually be converted back into fridges as needed) with a tap on top, room inside for a keg and a canister of CO2, and all the hardware to connect them all built in. Individual kegerators can have as many as 3 taps, though the more varieties of beer one wants to serve from a single kegerator, the smaller the kegs will need to be. 4. Beverage Cooler

For bottled beer, soda, mixers, or just spare water bottles, a beverage cooler is a good way to organize bottled or canned drinks and keep them cooled.

5. Ice Maker

This is the one appliance that flirts with frivolity. 6. Mini Fridge

Sure, boil it and put it into a container with a flexible lid. Another option is to dry the grapes and then reconstitute them later.

The advantage of wine is that it kills many harmful microbes and is a bit safer than non-purified water sources. Grape juice is not as advantageous.

No. It turns rancid. Why would a landowner spend months growing grapes to watch his entire crop turn rancid in a couple of weeks...

No It's flat out impossible to do for even short periods of time.
If you don't believe me go to the market buy some ripe grapes ,squash them and leave them alone unrefrigerated for a couple of days.
Shortly it will start to smell of a kind of funky alcohol

Papagni Wines received more awards from the San Francisco International Wine Competition this past June. The nationally recognized panel presented two silver medals for their 2011 Muscat Alexandria and 2003 Alicante Dessert Wine; and a bronze medal for their 2011 Pinot Grigio.

????The 2011 Muscat Alexandria has aromas of fresh floral notes and just-picked grapefruit. Its palate is rounded, rich and sweet. It has flavors of honey and apricot that are balanced by a light acidity. Papagni Wines suggests pairing it with spicy Asian cuisine or with fresh fruit and angel food cake. The 2003Dessert Wine, an Alicante Bouschet, has aged for 9 years in Papagni?s cellars. It has a nose of sweet, toasty black fruits and white pepper with soft tannins and a silky finish. Only 95 cases of this wine were produced.

?It?s an honor to win not only one, but several awards from such a large and prominent wine competition. We?re always trying to improve the quality of our wines and these awards let us know we?re on the right track.? - Demetrio Papagni, owner of Papagni Wines.

The San Francisco International Wine Competition celebrated its 32nd year at the distinguished Hotel Nikko June 15, 16, and 17. It was their largest competition so far with more than 4,500 wines judged from 1300 wineries. Entries were submitted from 29 countries and 26 states.

The tough competitors required prestigious judges, which included Anthony Dias Blue. Blue is the executive director and founder of the San Francisco International Wine Competition as well as the San Francisco World Spirits Competition. He is also the owner and editor-in-chief of The Tasting Panel magazine. The San Francisco International Wine Competition is a well respected wine competition in the United States.

This isn?t the first time Papagni Wines received recognition from the influential wine competition. Last year Papagni Wines brought home silver medals for their 2001 Alicante Bouschet and 2009 Malvasia Bianca in the 2011 San Francisco International Wine Competition.

Guests are welcome to taste any of these wines at Papagni?s brand new Madera wine tasting room in Madera, CA. Decorated with family memorabilia, this contemporary tasting room elicits a feel of warmth and hospitality. It is open weekends from 12p.m. to 4p.m. and weekdays by appointment.

Christian Worship and Technological Change

Those interested in Christian worship have tended to limit their attention to three areas: (1) the history of rites and texts; (2) the theological meaning of specific liturgical acts; and (3) the nature of ritual speech and gesture. But there has been little attention paid to the interaction between Christian worship and its immediate social context. This book will argue that one of the primary influences on the social context of Christian worship is the pervasive presence of technology and technological process, and that these have had a profound effect on liturgical theory and practice. After a survey of some of the important work being done in the history and philosophy of technology, White goes on to cite specific historical examples of the creative interplay between technological processes and Christian worship. This will include such things as the pasteurization of grape juice for the use at communion and the changes in funeral rites which were made necessary by the practice of embalming. The argument will then turn to the way in which individuals who "think technologically" approach the act of Christian worship today, and then to a discussion of the technological influences at work on those involved in preparing services of public worship. This last section will describe how technology has affected the way in which every mainline denomination produces its official service materials, as well as how individual congregations appropriate liturgical change. In the final section of the book, one issue remains to be addressed: Is technology a dangerous social force, against which Christian worship can be a potent weapon? Or, on the other hand, is technology an inextricable element in a contemporary society to which Christian worship must accommodate itself in order to be "relevant"?

In order to better appreciate the benefits of good health using white wine, Dr. Agostini and his research team examined the components of approximately five grape varieties, all of which are commonly used in the preparation of wine.

The results of their research, which were published in The Scientific World Journal, showed that white wine is also a good health drink as part of a regular diet because it also contains most of the components that have been identified in red wine.

Their research group employed grape seeds in their analysis, in the hope that these may also represent corollary values in the grape berries produced by each plant. Using biotechnological-grade extraction of fluid from these seeds, these scientists were able to infer whether a certain grape variety has a higher possibility in generating good health as compared to others. In addition, the study also aimed to determine whether there were differences in calories among the grape varieties, together with its direct or indirect effects to the daily diet.

In the last decade, the effects of wine on good health have been highlighted in both scientific and informal platforms, resulting in the boost in its production and sales. Unfortunately, most of the hype in relation to good health and diet has focused on red wine and thus, white wine has not been given equally positive reception. Wine is generally prepared from crushed grapes, with its final color based on the grape variety used and the preparation involved. However, all grape wines are derived from fermented juices extracted from these berries.

Similarly, the amount of calories from each grape variety is the same. However, there are certain components that are actually at much higher levels in white wine and thus, making this specific wine variety beneficial when included in the regular diet. Using comparative analysis of specific macromolecules that play a role in good health, Dr. Agostini?s group showed that white wine possessed a higher amount of alpha-tocopherol, or more commonly known as vitamin E, as compared to various types of red wine.

Spokesperson for Bel Marra Health Dr. Victor Marchione says, ?It is important to understand that vitamin E is generally derived from a diet containing fruits and nuts, although their levels may be lower than that observed in white wine.?

It is also possible to receive sufficient amounts of vitamin E from a diet if it significantly contains large amounts of nuts. Vitamin E has been reported to play an essential role in good health.
